Yay for another before and after, this time it is our primary bathroom!

(Sources are shared at the end of the post)

Our primary bathroom was the most significant part of our full home renovation. Besides the vanity (which we kept to save money, but I also loved the vintage look of the warm oak), it was a complete gut.

To give a quick summary, we knocked down the wall that separated the shower/toilet room from the rest of the space in order to make room for a large, luxe shower. The step-up, throne of a bathtub was removed. Also, the pink carpet, pink counters, pink tile, and pink wallpaper had to go (wowza)!  The other major changes were taking out the soffits and the floor-to-ceiling mirrors that were everywhere…check out the before pictures below.

One of my favorite aspects of the new design is the vertical shiplap lines mirroring the vertical tile in the shower.  The statuario marble….no words except it is my absolute favorite thing in our entire house! I also love how the herringbone pattern of the tile floor turned out. And of course, the stand alone tub with the beaded chandelier, both in front of the bay window, is a highlight and focal point. I wish you could see and feel how the natural light pours in during the morning hours. It is magical!

The mix of warm and cool neutral tones, as well as old and new, make this primary bathroom feel organic and interesting. It truly is retreat for us, and very much enjoyed.

We completed this renovation over two years ago! Luckily a lot of the products we used are still available, with a few exceptions. For those not available, I included some similar options in the sources linked below. Check out our other shoppable rooms here, and shop by style at the PHI Home Shop here.

If you have any questions, please leave a comment for us!
