Our primary bedroom is one of my favorite transformations in our home renovation, even though it did not involve a lot of contracted work. It already had fantastic bones – super high vaulted ceilings, a double sided fireplace, a deck (!), tons of windows, french doors, and a reading nook…it is huge and has all the features. Isn’t it amazing what fresh paint, new carpet (it’s wool carpet!), and different furniture, can do to help a space live up to its full potential? We did demo the fireplace surrounds and hearths, as well as the dark mirrored walls. There was also a weird window to the hallway in the reading nook that we closed up. Do you notice a little sneak peak of the primary bathroom before and after reveal in this first photo? Let’s just say there was carpet…and a lot of pink in there.
A note about PHI Home: Some of the products linked in this post are to-the-trade pieces from our shop, PHI Home. Typically to-the-trade pieces are purchased exclusively by trade professionals (i.e. interior designers) at wholesale, and then resold to their clients at a markup. We are thrilled to offer everyone (not just our clients) access to our favorite trade furniture and décor! If you are interested in a different size or colorway, please reach out to us.
Prices at PHI Home are never above the internet minimum advertised price (set by the manufacturer). However, if you find a lower price from another online retailer, send us an email at email@example.com, and we will price match! When you shop with us for your quality furniture and décor needs, you are supporting our small business and the interior design industry, rather than a big-box retailer. Thank you!
