A contemporary spin on traditional design is popular with those in their 20s and late 30s has been coined as the ‘Grandmillennial’ design style. What are the elements of the Grandmillennial style you ask? Gabby Home summarizes it well, “Popular Grandmillennial accents and accessories include pleated lampshades, botanical prints, monogrammed linens, and classic wallpaper. Furnishings often showcase traditional design elements, like tufting, skirting, cane or wicker detailing. Antiques are also essential to this well-collected aesthetic.” Have you been dreaming about a grandmillennial living room, this is the post for you!
We have 4 spaces to reveal for Project Grandmillennial, as well as professional photography coming soon, so check back here for all the ‘shop the look’ posts!
The formal living room for our clients’ classic salt box home is right off the entry, so we wanted to make as statement as guests enter. We sourced bold, beautiful wallpaper, as well as blue on blue on blue patterns and florals. This living room has gorgeous windows and natural light, which we flanked with brass sconces. The navy blue Chesterfield sofa has a family friendly velvet upholstery, which was important to the family as they have small children. The formal living room room came together so beautifully, we think it captures the Grandmillennial essence perfectly!

A note about PHI Home: Some of the products linked in this post are to-the-trade pieces from our shop, PHI Home. Typically to-the-trade pieces are purchased exclusively by trade professionals (i.e. interior designers) at wholesale, and then resold to their clients at a markup. We are thrilled to offer everyone (not just our clients) access to our favorite trade furniture and décor! If you are interested in a different size or colorway, please reach out to us. Prices at PHI Home are never above the internet minimum advertised price (set by the manufacturer). However, if you find a lower price from another online retailer, send us an email at info@peggyhaddadinteriors.com, and we will price match! When you shop with us for your quality furniture and décor needs, you are supporting our small business and the interior design industry, rather than a big-box retailer. Thank you!
