This half bathroom / powder bathroom is pure modern farmhouse. Light and bright, white and black elements, warm natural wood, and charming details. The sketched floral wallpaper is a showstopper, if we do say so ourselves!

The client for our ‘Project Modern Farmhouse Party of Seven’ wanted their dated new home transformed into a modern farmhouse, with traditional or cottage touches as well. We replaced the vanity, continued the hardwood floors from the rest of the main floor into the bath, and added a lovely natural wood mirror.

As soon as the wallpaper was installed, it went from a great transformation to a wow moment.

The flooring is red oak, sanded down and re-finished with Bona natural seal + Bona traffic HD. This is a great low VOC option if you are looking to refinish your hardwood floors and want a natural color for your hardwoods!

A powder bathroom is a perfect place to do a bold color or wallpaper. Wallpaper can be expensive, or a bold color can be intimidating to try in a large space. You have nothing to loose in a powder bathroom, and it makes such a wonderful statement for you and your guests to enjoy!

A note about PHI HomeSome of the products linked in this post are to-the-trade pieces from our shop, PHI Home. Typically to-the-trade pieces are purchased exclusively by trade professionals (i.e. interior designers) at wholesale, and then resold to their clients at a markup.
