This week, our picks from High Point are kicking off this new series.

Peggy attended the furniture and décor trade show/market in High Point, North Carolina a few weeks back and found countless pieces she loved.  This week we are featuring a few of the items she kept coming back to after reflecting on the trip (and the 700+ photos she took)!

Here’s some thoughts from Peggy as to why she picked these pieces…

Wow, this rug! It is so soft, I love the vintage look, warm and rustic colors, the durability of the polyester, and the VERY soft feel.

From the manufacturer: Easy on the eyes, comfortable on the feet. This collection marries the luxury feel of a plush pile with the durability of a printed rug. Featuring timeless and classic designs, in an incredibly plush, cloud-like texture that you can’t wait to sink your feet into.

This dining table has a rich medium brown tone, it’s not to dark, not too light. The profile feels very elevated or contemporary farmhouse, but is so versatile within a range of styles. I’m all about the reeded detail!

Modern Traditional / Transitional and Glam French Country lovers rejoice. This statement chandelier comes in two sizes and finishes.

From the manufacturer: Grand in scale, this transitional chandelier is inspired by antique style fixtures with a turned wood center column. This chandelier features 6 or 8 gold finished arms creating a transitional silhouette, and unique candles in a clay-like Distressed Ivory finish.

When I sat in this chair at High Point I did not want to get up.  It is surprisingly VERY comfortable.  I love the back detail. Use it as an accent chair in a living room, a reading chair in a bedroom, or even a dining room chair!

This gorgeous navy pillow is a great option when mixing patterns because of it’s small scale and subtle color palette. We are using it in a current project that has a Traditional and European style.

Need a large piece to fill a wall and reflect more natural light? This mirror is the ticket!

From the manufacturer: Inspired by beveled wood framed casement farmhouse windows this mirror is an amazing substantial statement. The frame is thick and the grain of the wood, the bevel of the glass all make this a beautiful piece. Available in two sizes and two finishes.

A note from Peggy: ‘Attending High Point was quite the experience and whirlwind, but it was a great opportunity to see some of the pieces I had selected for current projects, as well as see new pieces and brands.  My priority was sitting in sofas and chairs so I can make sure they are comfortable before recommending them to my virtual design clients.  I also wanted to discover new items for the PHI Home Shop! The best part, I was able to meet my bff from college, Sarah Contrucci Smith from Mara Home and Walden Retreats, at the event. It was wonderful to reunite with her.  We both had a very productive and rewarding trip, albeit exhausting and not without blisters on my feet…from all the walking!
