For two different client projects, we sourced the same white stone dining table for the kitchens’ eat-in dining designs, both with similar style combinations! We love the versatility of this table, it is so classic and neutral.

These two kitchens, and the shared dining table, are what inspired this week’s Peggy’s Picks. The selections were chosen entirely because they pair well with this table and fit together perfectly for a Transitional and Glam kitchen.

Since these kitchens were designed a few years ago, several of the items are no longer available. However, not to fear, we loved sourcing new and exciting items to give you a Transitional and Glam look (two actually!)…from durable rugs, to counter and dining seating options, to statement lighting. The kitchen is the heart of the home, which is why designing this area of the home is perhaps one of our favorite!

Transitional + Glam
Look One

This is the round version of the dining tables that inspired this blog post! It is available in three sizes and two finishes. As said by the manufacturer, “Ably sculpted from stone with the grace of a pedestal base, this table is an objet d’art.”, and we could not agree more!

Inspired by a unique find from France, this Dining Chair is a vintage style side chair with turned legs and antique brass nail head trim. The partially exposed oak frame is created using a unique wrapping method of upholstering, finished in exclusive Sunbrella Linen fabric. Comes in a set of 2.

Hanging an eye-catching brass fixture, like the two seen above, is the perfect way to make a statement and glam to a more neutral design!

Clean-lined and smooth on the surface, closer inspection shows this pendant’s sumptuous side. Alluding to late nineteenth-century opulence, we adorn the interior of the shade with richly gathered pleating. While the pendant’s subdued silhouette serves a contemporary sensibility, its lavish surprise rewards close appreciation
