Project Grandmillennial // Kitchen + Dining Room

Welcome back to one of our favorite homes to date, Project Grandmillennial! If you love the classic Parisian and European look, with a modern, southern flair, this project is for you. It’s hard to choose, but this kitchen might be our favorite space we designed for this family of five. Read on to hear about the Project Grandmillennial Kitchen and Dining (plus two alternate concepts), and shop the look!

A contemporary spin on traditional design is popular with those in their 20s and late 30s has been coined as the ‘Grandmillennial’ design style. What are the elements of the Grandmillennial style you ask? Gabby Home summarizes it well, “Popular Grandmillennial accents and accessories include pleated lampshades, botanical prints, monogrammed linens, and classic wallpaper. Furnishings often showcase traditional design elements, like tufting, skirting, cane or wicker detailing. Antiques are also essential to this well-collected aesthetic.” Have you been dreaming about a grandmillennial kitchen, this is the post for you!

We have already shared the formal living room and family room for this project, today’s design is the kitchen and dining. This kitchen was a complete gut remodel, with a brand new layout and cabinetry by BOXI. We also took down some of the wall that separated the dining room from the kitchen that made access to the kitchen very narrow. The transformation is jaw dropping! Staying in the same thread as the other rooms in this home, the color palette is blue and white with touches of green and pink. Our favorite features include the blue marble backsplash, turned wood sconces flanking the range, William Morris curtains, and the tulip dining table.
